Anna Jansson

Principal Second Violin

In 1996 Anna joined the Swedish Chamber Orchestra as the second violin section leader, where she still provides the concert hall visitors with fantastic musical experiences. But for a break for studies in Vienna under Professor Klaus Maetzl in 1998-99, followed by a leave of absence for work at the Gothenburg Opera in the spring of 2001, Anna has been a regular member of the orchestra. She began playing violin in her hometown of Halmstad at the municipal music school. Her musical path led her through studies with Lisbeth Vecchi, Milan Vitek, and Per Enoksson at the Gothenburg Music College.

Over the years, in addition to the orchestra, she has participated in various chamber music groups in and around Örebro and has been a soloist with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra on a few occasions.

In her free time she enjoys being in the forest, on the golf course or on the ski trail, preferably with family, friends, and her dog.
