Terése Larsson

Principal horn

Terése grew up on a farm in a small, small village called Årås outside Sunne in Värmland. Her whole family is interested in music and she started playing the French horn at the age of 7 and it was love at first note. The step to the music high school in Karlstad was a big change and a good layover before she moved to Stockholm where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees. For two years, she worked in the Gävle Symphony Orchestra and Wermland Opera. She has also freelanced in several of Sweden's orchestras, including the Royal Court Orchestra and the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra.

If you ask Terése, she would say that one of the most powerful things an orchestra can play is the ending of Mahler's 2nd Symphony, that it is one of the best things ever composed. It is orchestra, choir, organ, solo singers, ending in a climax unlike anything else. That's when you feel alive.

She is interested in history and a whiz at Trivial Pursuit.
